The Humboldt Builders’ Exchange Community Fund (HBECF) is offering a scholarship to graduating high school seniors who wish to continue their education in the construction industry.
Eligibility Criteria:
· Must be a graduating senior from a Humboldt County
· Must be continuing your education in the construction related fields
· Must apply, and be accepted to attend their educational facility as a full time (12 or more units) for the Fall of 2012
· Must have a high school grade average of “C” or better
The scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student and weighted heavily on their academic record. Serious consideration will be given to applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to education through their academic performance in high school as well as current financial need and community service.
What to submit
· Completed application packet
· High School transcript
· Short autobiographical essay
Application packet must be submitted to their office by April 20, 2012. Late submissions will not be considered.
