Have you ever wanted to make friends from around the world?  Experience everyday life in another culture?  Become fluent in another language or live in another country?

All high school students interested in become youth exchange students are invited to our informational meeting on Thursday, September 20^th, at 6:00pm in Room M118 at Eureka High School.  Please bring your parents!

Rotary Youth Exchange will send 3 lucky students abroad next year.  All questions will be answered about the Rotary Youth Exchange program, and applications will be provided to interested students.

NEW Rotary of Eureka General and Automotive Scholarships

Deadline:This Thursday!  March 16, 2012

The Rotary Club of Eureka has announced two new scholarships for the 2012-2012 academic year! There are going to be five $750.00 general and one $1,000 Harvey G. Harper Automotive Tech Scholarship awarded.

For the General Scholarships you must meet the following criteria to apply:

• GPA 3.5 or higher
• Planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college or university
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student
• Have active involvement in extracurricular activities and/or community service

For the Harvey G. Harper Automotive Tech Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

• No minimum, but a 2.5 or higher is encouraged
• Post-high school training program that is National Automotive Technician's Education Foundation accredited
• Can be enrolled full or part time
• Study in the field of Automotive Technician

What you will need to submit for both scholarships:

• Completed application
• Personal Statement (topic is listed on the application)
• Copy of your transcripts

Submit you completed application and other documents to the Counseling Office by 3:30 Friday, March 16, 2012
