Attention incoming seniors!!!

Incoming Seniors!!! What’s Next?

It's summer time but it’s not too early to begin thinking about your senior year. Keep these things in mind for the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year.

SAT/ACT tests: If you are planning to go to college, you will need to take an SAT or ACT test. Go to collegeboard to register the SAT test. This site has tons of information about the SAT, registration and even practice tests and questions.  If you think you qualify for a Fee Waiver, stop by the Counseling Office after August 24, 2011 and pick one up.
For the ACT, go to: www.actstudent.org/ for information and registration. This site also has tons of information on the ACT test. Check these two sites out!

Scholarships: It’s never too early to start thinking about scholarships. We will have our trusty scholarship box available to you when school starts but you can start looking now by searching the Internet for scholarships. Just do a Google (or whatever search engine you use) search and type in scholarship. You can also narrow it down to your course of study and you will find even more there. The first scholarship deadlines typically begin in September so be sure to check the box at the beginning of the semester. There is money for school out there; you just have to do a little work to find it.

Lastly, have a great summer! Enjoy your time off and be rested and ready to go for a fantastic senior year! Keep checking this blog for news and information you will need to know. Also be sure to check the daily bulletin as that has tons of important information every day.

We look forward to seeing all of you in the fall and to helping you make the most of this last year of high school. You are all well on your way!

Congratulations Class of 2011!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all of our scholarship winners! Honors Night was a big success and we are so proud of all that you have accomplished. You have earned over $266,000 in scholarships this year (and counting)! That is an amazing accomplishment!

Now it’s time for you to go out and grab life by the horns and make it whatever you want it to be. While some may say that your high school years are your best years, in reality, they are just the beginning! They are just the start of your journey through life and hopefully, they have given you a good solid starting place. We believe in all of you, and look forward to seeing what great success you find in life.

Now, it’s time to test your wings and fly…
