Cash for College Workshop and Financial Aid Information

Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 6:00-8:00pm
Eureka High School: Computer Labe Rm. 105 (Navi Lab)

Keep your eyes out for an envelope from EHS with important information about financial aid including information about the Cash for College Workshop.

It also contains a GPA release form that must be filled out and signed by students and parents allowing GPA information to be released to the California Student Aid Commission to be used in the Cal Grant applications. Please read the information carefully! Be sure to turn in your Cal Grant GPA Information Release Form by February 1, 2013.

What is the Cash for College Workshop? IT is a workshop that is presented by Humboldt County Office of Education Decade of Difference in partnership with Humboldt State University Financial Aid Department Staff to help students and parents get through the FAFSA application process and get other important financial aid information.

This is an opportunity to fill out your FAFSA online with financial aid professionals on hand to answer questions that may come up as you fill out the application. Please read the flyer enclosed in the packet that has been mailed home for more details and specifics about what you need to bring to the workshop.

There is also a $1,000 scholarship opportunity to all seniors who attend the Cash for College workshop, complete an exit survey, submit the FAFSA and apply for a Cal Grant by March 2, 2013.

Don’t miss out on this very important opportunity to have your FAFSA questions answered by the professionals, and a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship as well!
Watch your mail and look for the red label that says Open Immediately! Important Financial Aid Information Enclosed!
