April 1, 2011-Scholarships due

There are two scholarships due on April 1, 2011:

• Region 14 of the American Iris Society Scholarship: Geared toward students interested in a career in horticulture, floriculture, landscaping, nursery production or a related field. $500 scholarship. Come in to the counseling office and pick up an application for this scholarship.
• United Indian Health Services "Timm" Williams Memorial Indian Scholarship: Criteria for this scholarship include: Is an American Indian student requested for services  at UIHS or whose parents or guardians are registered for services at UIHS; graduating senior from a Humboldt, Del Norte or Charter School in 2011; Plan to attend a two year or four year college/university in 2011-2012 academic year; have an overall GPA of 2.0. Other things considered will include outside activities/interests, community involvement and commitment to and participation in working with American Indian people. Application must be postmarked by April 1, 2011. Come in to the counseling office to pick up your application.
