Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that you get to spend quality time with family and friends on this Thanksgiving break. To all you seniors out there, don't forget to work on those scholarships, just make sure you take some time to relax and enjoy this time off.

When we get back on November 28, be assured that the scholarship season will be gearing up into full swing for January. Don't forget to watch the blog, check the scholarship box and search the web for other opportunities. January 1 you will be able to start getting your FAFSA application going as well. From January through May is a busy and exciting time for scholarships!

Another thing to remember in the coming months are letters of recommendation. We have a great form here in the counseling office that you can fill out, copy and give to your teachers, counselors and any other people you will be requesting recommendations from.

You will also be needing transcripts for scholarships and college applications. It is a good idea to get your requests in early to allow plenty of time to get your copies. You can pick up a form in the counseling office or in M103, the registrar's office.

And remember, the counselors are here to help! Don't hesitate to stop in and request to see your counselor if you need help or information. We want you to succeed in your dreams.

But most of all, relax and enjoy your Thanksgiving break!

See you in a week!
