Congratulations go out to Nick Lewis who graduated from Eureka High School in June of 2012! He has been selected as a regional winner of the Kohl's Cares scholarship for $1,000!
He was recognized for his work as an active leader in the local Drive 2 Stay Alive Project that teaches parents and students about safe driving practices. As part of the project, they wrote and were awarded a grant for $87,200. The grant was used to fund educational tools such as driving simulator software and a Seat Belt Convincer to teach parents and students the importance of safety when driving.
Nick was one of 200 students who was chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship through the Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program.
Congratulations Nick! Keep up the good work!
