Need SAT Practice? Check This Out!

If you are going to be taking the SAT this year, there is a site that has excellent tools for you to get ready for the test. Not only are there Questions of the Day but entire practice tests available for you to take!

You can sign up to have the Question of the Day emailed right to your inbox! These are a variety of questions, one per day, that deal with both math and language/English. These give you an idea of the types of questions that will be asked on the actual test.

The full length practice tests give you a great idea about what types of questions to expect on the test and the length of the test itself.

These are both valuable tools for preparing for the SAT test! This is also the place to register for the actual test. Remember, if you are and AVID student or are on the free/reduced lunch program, you can get a fee waiver that will save you the $50 registration fee. Come in to the Counseling office any time after school begins to see if you qualify. Don't register before you get your waiver! They won't honor the waiver retroactively. The first test will be on October 6, 2012 with a registration deadline of September 7, 2012 so  you will have plenty of time to get your waiver and register before the deadline. There will be other testing dates available (also on the website) but remember for you seniors, the last testing date that will accepted by colleges will be the December 1, 2012 test.

Here is the link to the website with all of this awesome information including a schedule of all the tests for the 2012-2013 school year!
