Scholarhips now accepting applications!

There are a few scholarships that have just announced they are taking submissions. Here are a few of them, some are online application only and some are paper only.


 The California Museum dares to make your a mark on history! Take the 2011 Dreamers Challenge by telling us how your unique dream would change the world for a chance to win a $5,000 college scholarship & attendance at the 2011 California Hall of Fame. 

Guidelines:
• Open to all California high school seniors graduating in 2012
• Your choice of format such as essay, video, audio recording, artwork, presentation poem, etc.
• Submit a printed copy and digital files to The California Museum by October 15, 2011
• All entries must be post marked on or before October 15, 2011

Stokes Educational Scholarship Program

Stokes is open to high school seniors planning on majoring in computer science or computer/electrical engineering. Deadline for this is November 15th, 2011.

Qualifications:
You must major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering and meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Eligible to be granted a security clearance
  • A high school senior at the time of application
  • A minimum SAT/College Board score of 1600 (1100 Critical Reading and Math, 500 in Writing) or ACT of 25
  • A GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

Imagine America Foundation Scholarship
 The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to help provide scholarships for high school students.

Qualifications:
High school graduates who meet the following recommended guidelines should apply:
  • Likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education
  • High school grade point average of 2.5 or greater
  • Financial need
  • Demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year
