American Indian Summer Institute- for Sophomores and Juniors!!

This is an awesome opportunity for Sophomores and Juniors!!!

The American Indian Summer Institute is now taking applications and the deadline for turning them in is May 2011! The AISI will take place June 26-30, 201 at California State University Sacrament and is FREE! Here are the details:

The program will include the following:

• Team building
• Native leadership
• Applying for college, transcript review and eligibility requirements
• Academic and career planning
• Learning style assessment
• Exposure to Native students and faculty from various colleges and Universities
• Cultural excursions, cultural workshops and experiences with tribal leaders

Eligibility requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior in High School
• Must be enrolled in a tribe (enrollment will be verified)
• Planning on going to college or University after graduation

What you need to submit by May 2, 2011:

1. Submit completed online application
2. Email or Fax signed letter of recommendation
3. Email or Fax essay
4. Email or fax Tribal enrollment documentation
5. Make sure you put your name in the subject line of all documents that you email or fax
