Henderson Center Kiwanis Club 2011 Scholarship Applications Available Now

Deadline: Friday May 6, 1011 at 3:00 in the counseling office

Henderson Center Kiwanis awards college scholarships to assist those individuals who have achieved academic excellence. There will be two scholarships awarded in the about of $1,000.

Eligibility criteria:

• Graduating Eureka High School student (Only Eureka High students are eligible!)
• Must be planning on attending a four-year college or university
• Open to ALL fields of study
• GPA of 3.50 or better
• Financial need-All things being equal, financial need will be taken into consideration

Application packet must include the following:

• High School transcript
• A list of extra curricular activities and jobs that you have participated during your high school years
• Describe you need for financial assistance
• Two letters of reference
• A 250-500 word essay on the following topic:

The importance of academic achievement and excellence and how you will use your education for the betterment of humankind.
