On this past Saturday, February 5, 2011 a group of over 200 talented student musicians capped off three days and 12 hours of rehearsal with a vocal and instrumental concert of extraordinary quality held at HSU in the VanDuzer Theatre in Arcata.
The following outstanding Eureka High School students were chosen to participate in Honor Choir and Honor Band:
Carl Lemmon was chosen to play Euphonium for the Nor-Cal Honor Band and was chosen to play the baritone horn part, essentially a solo for the entire Holst Suite.
Molly Owen and Molly Connors-Keith sopranos, Siera Kaup alto, Wigler Tulmau, tenor and Brian Gonzalez bass were chosen to sing in the Honor Choir under the baton of Dr. David Kendrick.
It is quite an accomplishment to be chosen to participate in Honor Band and Honor Choir! Congratulations to our talented students!
