The Humboldt Harmonaires Barbershop Chorus is offering a $1,000 scholarship awarded based on talent and need to a senior who will continue their musical education at a college or university. Preference will be given to a student attending College of the Redwoods or Humboldt State University
You will need to write an autobiographical essay describing your musical interests and accomplishments whether instrumental or vocal. The essay should include continuing and future musical plans, and how the scholarship will be applied.
Along with the essay, you will need to include the following:
- Student’s Name
- Home Address
- Mailing address (if different from home address)
- Phone Number
- Parent’s Name(s)
- Date of graduation and name of school graduated from
- Name of college planning to attend
- What you will major in
- Connection, if any, to the Humboldt Harmonaires
- CD or DVD representative of your talent-this is mandatory
- Letter(s) of recommendation (form attached to application)
This is one of the few scholarships we get that are geared for music students so definitely apply!
