Justin Keele Make a Difference Award Due Sunday, April 1, 2012

Deadline April 1, 2012

The Justin Keele Grant is for students at Eureka High School or Zoe Barnum who want to lend a hand. The annual grant of $200 to $2000 is meant to help a deserving individual or group achieve their goals, aspirations, dreams or relief of hardship.

If you have a group, cause or individual in need of assistance and a clear plan of how you will do so, this grant is for you! The grant is intended to help provide tools of all kinds in order for you to help them achieve their goal. Projects which help homeless youth are given preference.

If you want to hold a fundraiser for a group like Betty's Blue Angels or the Homeless Education Project, and coordinate the event, you will be eligible to receive money to help pay for the event. Do you know of an individual or a family who could use a little help, you may be eligible to receive a grant to purchase clothing for school

The idea of this grant is to "Pay It Forward" which means you do a "favor" for someone and instead of them "paying" you back, you do a "favor" for someone else thus paying it forward. It is a great way to help your community and start a chain of giving that will grow and help more and more people. This really can make a difference! And it feels great to volunteer!

Applications and information are available in the office. Come on in and get started on making a difference in your community and ultimately, in the world.
