Henderson Center Kiwanis Club Scholarship Applications Are Here

Deadline: Wednesday, April 25, 2012 before 3:00pm

The Henderson Center Kiwanis Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships. Applications are now available in the Counseling Office in the scholarship box.

Henderson Center Kiwanis Club 2012 Academic Scholarship:

·   Planning on attending a 4-year college or university

·   Enrollment in College of the Redwoods Honors Program or equivalent as an interim to a four-year institution is permissible

·   GPA of 3.5 or better

·   An essay on the topic: The importance of academic achievement and excellence and how you will use your education for the betterment of humankind.

What to submit:

·   Application form

·   High School Transcript

·   List of extra-curricular activities and a list of jobs

·   Description of need for financial assistance

·   Two letters of reference

·   An essay (see above)

Henderson Center Kiwanis Club 2012 Don Windbigler Vocational Scholarship:

·   Must be planning on attending a junior college, Vocational/trade School, or four-year college or university with a vocational degree or certificate as your goal

·   Must have class work and/or extracurricular activities in the vocational field of interest.

·   An essay on the topic : The importance of vocational education and how your vocational education will assist you in attaining your life goals.

What to submit:

·   Application form

·   High School Transcript

·   List of extra-curricular activities and a list of jobs

·   Description of need for financial assistance

·   Two letters of reference

·   An essay (see above)

All application packets need to be turned in to the Counseling Office no later than Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 3:00
